#TeaserTuesday 2 : This is the Story of a Happy Marriage – Ann Patchett

#teasertuesday 2

Ann Patchett’s books were recommended by a writer friend, Kiran who runs a writing community called Write & Beyond. I had already heard of the author but never considered reading her works. Though Kiran had suggested I read Ann Patchett’s Commonwealth, but as I was browsing through my Kindle I found this title pretty appealing. Though I’ve just read a few pages, but in my opinion this book might appeal to a lot of aspiring writers, as this is Patchett’s autobiographical account and her journey as a writer.

“I’ve always believed the reason I was passed from grade to grade was that I could put together some raw version of a story or poem, even if all of the words were misspelled and half of them were written backwards. Like a cave child scratching pictures on the wall of bison and fire and dancing, I showed an early knack for content.”

This is my second post for TeaserTuesday hosted by https://shouldbereading.wordpress.com. Think it should  propell me to read faster-finish a book by the next Tuesday and read more books as well. Though I believe this  book will serve as a palate cleanser while I read others.

If you fancy joining in, here’s how:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
• Share the title and author so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!
