“I love opal sunsets. Especially the ones that come, right after a heavy downpour,” smiled Samantha gazing across the horizon.
The sky embellished with dark-amber clouds, looked gorgeous. Vihaan and she were out on their second date. A perfect setting to get some romance started.
“What’s the big deal about sunsets? They come and go every day,” said Vihaan with a disinterested look.
“Well, you won’t understand,” replied Samantha with a tone of despair.
Samantha’s eyes remained transfixed to the sky. She longingly reminisced the countless evenings she had spent here with Rylan, watching the sky change its hues.

Magical sunset and magical story, this proves her choice is not worth this time.
How can one be so heartless for sunset and its beauty? I love sunrise and sunset and love to capture them too.

You can’t build a lifetime on a liking for sunsets. If he has some valuable qualities she should consider what’s best. If they don’t connect on anything really important, like how to bring up children, then she should say a nice quick goodbye.
This is beautifully written Natasha. She will get over him gradually. And you never know at times opposites attract. He may be the one for her.
That’s not a match made in heaven! Sometimes, maybe, there is a reason we don’t get over the ex until the time is right.
And maybe Vihaan broke up at sunset. That’s why he doesn’t like them.

Poles apart, thats what they appear to be! But isnt it that opposites only attract? May be she or he will compliment each other and make the picture perfect…

It seems that this is not a match made in heaven. I can’t see her going out with this man again. His attitude was very dismissive.
He’s not the guy for her. Not at all.
It’s sometimes frustrating when people you live fail to understand your passion or love for something- it Ieaves you with a disheartening feeling
Everybody has different likes and dislikes. I personally feel disconnected with people who cannot appreciate nature, so I kind of understand how Samantha feels.
Rylan was clearly a far more romantic soul. A delightful piece Natasha.

Sunsets and nostalgia. They seem to go together so well!
Just because Vihaan doesn’t appreciate the sunset doesn’t make Rylan better. Vihaan probably appreciates her more than a sunset
I watch sunrises and sunsets, but rarely with my husband. He’s just not into them in the same way I am. But there is so many other things we can share, that I try not to let it bother me (too much). All men are different. They all can’t be like Rylan.
Oh I hear you. :))) I love sunrises, sunsets, moon watching, star gazing. My DH doesn’t mind too, but not so much in awe as me.
When narratives are so visual.. One can’t help but fall in love..
