It comes from the love that’s in my dogs eyes.”

Cotton, Our Grand Old Lady: #WordlessWednesday

Cotton came into our lives eleven years ago, from a dog shelter in Singapore. Ever since she has filled our lives with joy, hope and calm. The day she arrived at our home, we discovered we were having another baby. Who else, but Aarshia, our ten-year-old.

Cotton is an impeccable old girl with lady-like grace. Most of this year she suffered a series of health-setbacks. But her spirit stays resilient and indomitable. She continues to brave all illness and emerge a victorious warrior. Last week she gave us another health scare. Fortunately, she is now on the mend; slowly but surely bobbing back to good health.

She poses for the camera like no other, as you can see. That’s our grand old lady, Cotton for you!

  1. So glad that Cotton is recovering slowly! I love the soulful look that she has! She seems so wise and calm as if she is trying to say something about the tenacity with which she has been dealing with things lately and how she won’t give up because she is a born fighter! Such a pro at posing too! Beautifully shot by sweet Arshia.

  2. Pets bring so much of positive energy in the house. Cotton does appear to be a poser for the camera. It must be tough to serve to the needs of an aging pet. While my pet dog died young, I have an idea from how heartbreaking it must be to see the pet suffering. Wishing Cotton good health.

  3. Awww I love Cotton. She is so adorable. It is such a blessing to have them in our lives. They give us so much, everything of themselves and make us so much better in the bargain. ❤️ The pics!
