The Best Things in Life Are Free: #WordlessWednesday

“The best things in life are for free. And it is important never to lose sight of that. So look around. Wherever you see friendship, loyalty, laughter and love…there is your treasure.”

Neale Donald Walsch

Morning cuddles with my furry wonders, are a ritual with my morning cuppa. Again absolutely free.

A boat ride on the Denwa river, as the rain pregnant clouds hung with wishful anticipation, upon the Satpura hills.  My friends from the Wildlife Training course, PRONAT were fortunate to soak in this glorious, no cost beauty.

The tiny, radiant Portulacas made a comeback this season, dotting our balconies, and terrace table. Colours of joy. Absolutely free.

Smiles and bonhomie with the family, and loads of festive fervour. Free, totally free. 🙂

The Best Things in Life Are Free

If these thoughts aren’t freeing enough, then I wonder what is?

This post was inspired by Jayanthy’s comment on my last week’s #WordlessWednesday post, The Sky Is Pink. Thanks Jayanthi for the beautiful reminder, “All Best Things in Life Are Free”. It served as food for thought for this piece.

Go ahead, amigos, cherish and treasure every minuscule moment, thing, person, being, feeling that gives you joy. There is no price to pay. Go, grab them with both your arms, and embrace them with your soul.

The best things in life are for free. Welcome them with an open heart. Click To Tweet

I’m also sharing two totally different music tracks with the same title. One is my favourite Sinatra and the other Janet Jackson and Luther Vandross. They are singing; yes you guessed it right, The Best Things in Life are Free!

  1. You’re right, Natasha! The most treasured gifts in life come free and yet, sometimes we take them for granted so much so that we fail to appreciate them until they are gone! So glad you take the time out to savour these invaluable moments with the dear ones and the furry ones too! Loved the beautiful post and the pictures a little more, perhaps!

    Much love and hugs
    Esha

  2. Natasha,

Yep, some of the best things in life are free! I love your photo shares always and your mewsic selections are fabulous, too. 🙂 Sorry for the late visit, dearie. Have a boogietastic weekend! 😉

  3. You are absolutely right, Natasha! The best things in life which we fondly remember are always free of cost.
Loved the photos, gorgeous smiles, beautiful scenery – what a treat! <3

  4. Strange – I thought I had commented here earlier!

Anyways, I wanted to say that some of life’s greatest pleasures come from the simplest things.

    Have a great weekend, sweetie!

  5. You look so pretty in a saree! <3

You said it, right! The best things in life are always simple and free. It is just about stopping to smell the roses.

I'll be missing #WW this week due to work. Will try my best to join in next week.

  6. hmmmmm I just figured it out. You’re on the other side of the world with a different time zone. It wouldn’t take my comment before, but I’m going to try one more time. Soooooooooooooooo what I see here is the sun setting on top of a building… hahaha (just kiddin’) and yes the best things in life are free like all the pictures I posted today. My adorable grandson’s picture… my pumpkin’s picture and the rest. I have sooooooooo many pictures, but I need to take more. I’ve shown these a number of times I’m sure! Melancholy I guess! LOL You have a very beautiful/handsome family I must say, and I love your dog, what kind is he/she???? So pretty! Great songs and you’re right the best things in life are free like my children’s smiles and the love I have for them… not to mention our friendship! FREE!!! 🙂

  7. Welcome to Music Moves Me! Your pictures wouldn’t load (no idea why), but the videos set the mood nicely. Enjoyed the big band era by Frank Sinatra and the more modern vibe of Janet and Luther. I will come back another time and see if I can get those pictures to load!

    1. Natasha, guess what? I returned tonight and the photos showed up! I’ve never tried growing portulaca in a pot like that – I love their flowers (especially the more modern varieties) a lot of pleasure for a little money. Other than that, yes, some of the best things in life are free.

  8. True, it’s the small and the simple things in life, which are absolutely free in life that make us the happiest. Loved these happy and heart-warming pictures!!

  9. Love the songs. Love the quote and love the pics. A very nice post. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful day.

  10. A fabulous WW post, Natasha and I agree with the sentiment! We witnessed a gorgeous blood moon rising off the lake the other day, all for free. You have a beautiful family. Those morning cuddles are priceless, for sure.

  11. You go to the neatest places. You so need to stuff me in your trunk for sure!!! I wish we lived close together we would be the bestest of friends I’m sure!!! All the neat places that you go I would tag along for sure. If you lived by me I’d take you to all the cool places. My husband is trying to get his band back together too. It’s ROCK & ROLL baby girl. He plays guitar. I loved your tune choices. Okay, it’s getting late. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos. I live near the Fox River in Illinois. I moved away from Chicago to be out here with my husband besides there was way too much crime in Chicago for me and I wanted my children safe. I have four. It so beautiful I shall try to put some pics up from where I live so you can see. Way ta go, girlfriend, take care because I care. Have a great day! BIG HUGS!
