Within You: #WordlessWednesday #WednesdayWisdom #Pre-Barathon

“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at anytime and be yourself”

– Herman Hesse in Siddhartha

Hand holding a stone against the skyline
The answer lies within you

Pathway to the hilly forests
Some paths lead to you

Rock in the Aravalli hills amidst flora
To have a rock-solid faith that dwells within you

Trees against an azure sky spayed with clouds
This is my stillness, this is my sanctuary. Though outside of me, but lies within me.

Trees amidst the stunning sky
Finding myself is co-existing with love with the world outside of me

Dog resting on a book, Herman Hesse's Siddhartha
Words are omens that show the way. The answers lie within me. Laila, in her serene sanctuary, embodies me.

Within You

“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”

– Herman Hesse in Siddhartha

My 12 year-old and I took these pictures on a Sunday jaunt to the Aravalli hills and forests, in our neighbourhood.

Deeply grateful to be able to experience this peaceful sanctuary, that takes us back to a journey of discovery and love. It is in nature that we as a family become one with ourselves. Nature imparts solace like no other. Helps us unravel parts of ourselves. Nature allows us to just be, no questions asked.

What do you do to to unravel yourselves?

Where does your serene sanctuary lie?

Do you retreat within, to find your answers?

Happy Wordless or not-so-wordless Wednesday!

Have a blissful week ahead.  <3

Love, Light and Laughter,

Natasha

  1. I would love to go on a walk like this one. Beautiful pictures these are. So full of nature. Thanks a ton for joining, Natasha. I hope to see you back on the 23rd.

    1. Thanks dear Parul. Yes I’m sure you would love this walk.
Yes I’m hoping to link up with my post this week.
I had it ready from last week actually.
      Take care.

  2. Such pretty photos Natasha and I love how you quoted each one of them so aptly. Aravali Biodiversity parks are a good place to spend time in. I have been to the one in Delhi and I thoroughly enjoyed my early morning there. Hope to go there soon. Nature is nourishing for the senses, the mind, the heart and the soul.

Our existence needs self love and the sooner we realize that we are the universe all paths shall lead within. Suzana shared a beautiful chant that I am hearing right now, “Om So Hum” , which is so in line with your Wednesday thoughts 🙂

    Love & Happiness Natasha

    1. Yes Monika, Om So Hum is a lovely chant. Very calming.
These pictures are from the Aravalli forests and not the biodiversity park. The ones from the park I shared last week.

Much love and light dear Monika.♥️♥️

  3. Our Female Human (who is wound waaaaay to tight in our opinion) found your post soooo relaxing. We felines have no need to learn about relaxation, we are masters at it!

  4. Barring something unusual, my path is finally leading me home after a six month absence. We have been safe and healthy making a choice to not return home, but now is the time to leave the States and go home to Canada. – Margy

  5. That is a beautiful nature walk in your area. My serene sanctuary is right in my house. I can easily withdraw into myself, or sit in my back yard and listen to the birds.

    1. Thanks Steve, keep the social distancing intact else you know how pointy it can get! lol! Kidding. Have a safe week, my friend. 🙂

  6. Hello my friend, and how are you this lovely evening? It’s been hot here, but tonight we shall get a short break. It’s very late so I wanted to say hello to you first before heading off to the land I call Peace…. See you in my dreams my dear friend and I hope you and yours are all healthy and happy! Sending you BIG HUGS always! What a beautiful place to take a lovely, peaceful walk. I wish I was walking with you down this wonderful path… hand in hand with my dear sweet friend! Have a great day!

  7. Beautiful, Natasha, everything, words and pictures and your sweet doggie Laila. So peaceful <3
Granny and I are always in the garden, when the weather allows it, to hang around with every creature that lives there. It's a great feeling to feel one with everything around you and to let the answers come to you so natural 🙂 Pawkisses for a wonderful and peaceful week ahead 🙂 <3

    1. True that my dear Gran and Binky. You always say and do the wisest things.

Sending you warm hugs and paw kisses. Also from Mishka and Laila. <3

  8. Lovely photographs! Whereabout did you enter the aravalis from? It’s been so long since I’ve explored those paths – maybe a walk around there this weekend is in order!

    1. Dear Shinj,

This is the Bhuvaneshwari Devi temple route via CRPF on Sohna. We used to go there cycling regularly, before the lockdown happened.

You should definitely explore this serene sanctuary. It’s a weekend done right. 🙂

    1. You surely must venture out for a nature walk. You have some lovely places in the ambit of Banglore Reema. Happy connecting with Mamma Nature. 🙂

  9. “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
What a beautiful quote! And I think this idea is the start of Everything!
My sanctuary is my home and all the places in the nature I go. I love the beach, I love the mountains,
    a road in the park…
“The answer lies within you” … Difficult to find out, but I try.
Thank you for this post, dear Natasha! It was like a fresh water! 🙂

    1. I’m so glad the post resonated dear Suzana.

Only if we tune in to our true selves the answer emerges. And sometimes it comes in the form of a song, a line in a book, or a message from a dear one, and more. 🙂

Have a blessed week my friend.

  10. When I am just out walking, I can pretty much just tune out the world and be in my own space.

Beautiful pics and thanks for hosting. Hope you can have a wonderful week.

  11. My serene sanctuary is in the garden, on the seesaw, in the shade of the trees and in the murmur of the small artesian well. Or in bed. Always with the Calliope cat around me. : D

    Have a fine day!
