Despicable Me #MicroMondays
It’s Monday morning. The toast just got burnt. The cleaning lady calls in sick. As Adil and I bolt towards the bus stop, we see the bus chugging away.
It could hardly have been a bloodier beginning.
Adil brawls, “I’m going to miss art class.”
I comfort him and make a devious plan.
I call in sick at work.
We are now lazing on the sofa, watching Despicable Me 3, popcorn and hot chocolate by our side.

Written as part of #MicroMondays, hosted by the gorgeous couple, Varad of Loose End Of The Thread and Namratha of Namy Says So.
Each week we are given a set word count for a piece of micro fiction, and a quote from a book (this time, I am Malala) that must be included in the story. This week’s quote to be included was ‘It could hardly have been a bloodier beginning.’ and the word count was 75..
I missed writing last week’s prompt as I was swamped with a few personal commitments and then I traveled to Dehradoon for the Valley of Words 2017 and Indiblogger meet.
Anyways, enjoy reading other stories based on the prompt here.

Ain’t it! 😉
Cant think of a better way to get rid of Monday blues. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade
Ha! Ha! Right :)))
Loved your take on the prompt! When the world is going against you, I guess the best response is to have a devious plan and have a bit of fun!
Thank you Namratha. Yes, absolutely a must do. :-)))
