The Child is Father of the Man: #WordlessWednesday
My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
William Wordsworth

Beautiful!! I love the spontaneity of this capture, dear Natz! Would love to know the backstory behind this shot. There is in all of us those moments of surprise and delight that keeps the child in us alive and sometimes we see glimpses of this in our children as you must have seen in this particular one, I assume. What immortal and evocative these lines are, no? This particular one was always a favourite since we read this in our elementary classes and still does so, even today.
