Hold on to love

It’s spring in our part of the world. While there is a riot of colours bedecking the outdoors, there are innumerable trees busy shedding and letting go. The new shoots are slowly but surely sprouting.

These pictures where taken about two weeks back, before the lockdown. Now going on car drives is a distant dream, for sometime at least. Though the first picture is from our condominium, when I was walking my dogs. I still get to go down for a quick spin with the dogs, but that is that. Amidst the total lockdown we have been asked not to venture out at all.

This lockdown is our time to keep growing,  learning new skills sets, look within and reclaim parts of ourselves that we may have lost. All this while staying grounded, just like the tree. Mother Earth is healing and reclaiming too. So can we.

The  future isn’t looking very promising. But this pandemic too shall pass. Meanwhile, we need to stay grounded, learn from our past lessons and let go of that which isn’t serving us anymore.

Let’s pledge to stop abusing and misusing the earth like we have in the past. Let’s pledge to make it a cleaner place. If we wish to grow wings and come out of this situation stronger, we need to stand steadfast to pledges like these.

The air in my city hasn’t been so clean and crisp. I’ve lived here for 11 years. We were the most polluted city in the world a few weeks back! The skies have never been so blue. At times we pinch ourselves and ask if we are in the African wilderness!

Please stay safe, Stay indoors. Keep the social distancing norm intact. (But do make those zoom/video calls and chat up with friends and family. Believe you me, it’s a great pick me up).

This too shall pass. We are in this together.

Love and light!!! <3 <3

  1. I love the photo of the street lined with (leafless) trees.

The lockdown is all about healing and discovering. While nature heals we must too within the four walls. Its time to introspect and discover the true “you”. Many complain about no time in hand as work is life…… for them specially.

Hope all is good at your end Natasha. Take care and yes lets be like the tree 🙂

    1. Exactly, when we didn’t have time in hand we spent time complaining about it. Now when we do we are still complain about whats not working.

Such a blessing to be given this time to heal, travel within and grow new wings.

All great here Monika. Your photos are keeping me uplifted too.
