Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head: #WordlessWednesday #WednesdayWisdom
“Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Crying’s not for me
‘Cause I’m never gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I’m free
Nothing’s worrying meIt won’t be long till happiness steps up to greet me”– B.J. Thomas(7 August, 1942 – 29 May, 2021)
The Lyrics. This endearing score was also my ringtone a few moons ago.
The B.J. version. <3
Rain Drops Keep Fallin’ on my Head
Our generation grew up listening to legends like B.J Thomas a.k.a Billy Joe Thomas
I’m sharing the most popular score by him. Simply because “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” is my story as a kid. One who did not enjoy the rains at all. Those huge droplets would come pelting on my glasses, as I rode my bicycle to school. This blurred my vision and would want to make me cry.
The adult version of me loves the rains. Though it gives me allergies galore, but I continue to romance it knowing some day it will succumb to my charms. 😉
Have you noticed the synchronicity between my rain picture and the day B.J. Thomas was born?
I just found out! Woah!
Eulogy to our ‘Butch Cassidy’
It’s synchronous that I was listening to “Raindrops…” on a loop the last few days.
On another note, this endearing song was a special part of the ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid‘, starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Who wouldn’t know?
Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, it brought B.J. Thomas an Oscar, while leaving an indelible imprint on our souls.
R.I.P, B.J., cradled in almighty’s arms as the heavens shower you with a cosmic rain of love.
As a tribute I am opening this linky a day in advance. Monday it is! Let’s stream the music early.
Rain showers of love, gratitude and joy my friends.♥♥
Natasha Serenity Sinha
Side note: This piece was inspired by John Holton’s tribute to B.J. on Sound of One Hand Typing.

Lovely song! I love the rain even though it blurs my vision. 🙂
Have a beautiful week, Natasha!
You too dear, Vinitha.
Rain is an enchanter par excellence! 🙂
Take care and stay safe. <3
Look at this! I wrote a comment here, but I don’t see it … I said I loved this song a lot since I saw the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”.
Have a fine day, Natasha!
Wow ! The Dog dancing in the rain is a pleasure to the eyes. Thanks for joining in Garden Affair.
Thanks so much Arun. Yes, he/she reminds us to find joy in the little things. 🙂
A great tribute to him. I don’t mind a little rain as it clears the smog out of the air. That song’s lyrics reminds me of something off-color I would say to former co-workers who were trying to scam me. Part of it did involve raindrops.
Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

I saw the movie B.C. & S.K. but I didn’t make the connection.
A lovely tribute to B.J. Thomas.

Dear, dear Di,
I know it totally suited the weather here too, just that its now hot and sunny. But glad we are inside our cool, cosy home with the fans and air conditioning.

Beautiful tribute to B.J. Thomas, Natasha! And such lovely photos to go with the song.
(((((hugs))))
Sigh! I hear you and I continue to romance it and like how. <3
Big hugs my friend and I hope things are getting better in your neck of woods. <3

I used to love that song. The first time I heard it was in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A lovely tribute.

Nice tribute to BJ Thomas.
Thanks Ellen. Glad you enjoyed it.
You’re probably asleep now & our sun is shining bright. I’m off for my 4 month check up. I even made a list so I don’t forget to ask her anything. Anyway, it’s a lovely day today, the birds are singing & my vegetable garden is growing I think next week I’ll have some pictures for you of that. This year we only planted tomatoes so there’s not so much work to do. My leg has been giving me a lot of grief. So my love let the sugar plums dance in your head and the angels guard over you and have a good sleep. Hugs & smooches. Sweet Dreams, Dolly

Big hugs and good vibes your way. <3

Thank you so much Timmy. 🙂
I love the rain. It’s like the sky joins the earth through us!
Thank you for this post, dear Natasha! Warm and beautiful!
Happy WW! ❤️
Thank you for the linking.
Oh! You said it dear, Suzana and so aptly. <3
Thank you for your awe-inspiring art posts. 🙂
Natasha,
BJ Thomas is a favorite artist from my childhood, as well. His voice was beautiful. “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” is a classic! I linked up my Battle of the Bands post since I’m on my summer blogging schedule which means I’m only keeping up with my Monday’s Music Moves Me each week and my BoTB at the first of the month. That’s all I have plans for this summer. I need a break from things and with Internet traffic slowing down then this is the perfect time for it. Have a wonderful week, darlin’!
He left us with a great reminder about troubles and joy.
Oh, yes totally so, Deb. 🙂 Thanks for linking up.
Delightful pictures and a lovely song. It’s been a while since one fell on my head though!

I’m so glad this reminded her. Much love.
What a nice post and pictures now I am gonna be singing it all day heheh!

All the best with the new blog, sweetheart. <3
How sad! The skies will be crying for him here this week as rain is on it’s way.
Same story here, Kelleyn. The skies have been mourning him. Thank you for hopping by. 🙂
We were sorry to hear about B.J. Thomas, we always liked is music.
Totally so Brian. He is smiling his light on us from the heavens above.
It is such a marvelous and optimistic song. Great photo with the falls cascading off your umbrella. RIP B.J.
Thanks Kenneth. I did have an enchanting time indeed.
I am sorry have been tardy visiting you, but doing so right away.
My first thought when hearing the song is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. great song. Sorry to hear about B.J. Thomas’ passing.
Yes, Trent, quite a fabulous legend.
Awww on that cute pup out in the rain. I hated the rain because it ruined my hair. All frizzy when it got wet. A wonderful memory for the both of us.
I linked up and also linked you to my Wordless Wednesday. It won’t show up until Wednesday morning my time.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, sweet Natasha. ♥
