A is for Animal & Nature Communication | AtoZChallenge 2026
“Some people talk to animals. Not many listen.” – A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
Telepathic Animal and Nature communication** isn’t a gift, bestowed to just a few. It’s something we all are capable of; only if we listen, and trust the messages that come through.
Circa 70s – 80s, Pantnagar, Terai region
I’ve been a nature and animal lover, for as long as I can remember. I was born in a university campus, and grew up next to the sprawling Terai forests, of Northern India. This stoked my love and connection for nature and different species.
Back then, we had no technology to tune into. Only our senses that attuned to the gifts of nature. Summers were spent climbing trees, chasing butterflies, dragon flies, and looking for birds and their nests. Monsoons meant a tryst with the earthworms and leeches. Snakes and monitor lizards, were our backyard companions.
We were sometimes brutal with the butterflies and dragon flies; swatting them with our badminton racquets and holding them captive.
2021, Srinagar, Kashmir
I’m at the pristine garden of the World Unity centre. The many winged wonders, serenade the apple-laden trees and plethora of flowers.
I notice a dragonfly, sitting on an okra plant. It’s my moment of redemption. I bring my fingers close to it. It doesn’t flinch, or fly away.
“I’m sorry, please forgive me. In the past, I’ve been cruel to your tribe and others. I didn’t know any better,” I beseechingly plead.
Ms/r. Dragonfly looks back at me. It’s beady eyes rotate in circular motion.
I inch my finger closer. It has now hovered on top of my finger.
Gazing back it says, “Apology accepted.”
Before I know it, it has flown away into the warm embrace of the inviting August breeze.
My first brush with animal communication, looks like this.

**Telepathic Animal & Nature communication is an intuitive, two way exchange of information through words, emotions, feelings and images between humans and other species/nature.
This transcends the barrier of a verbal dialogue and language, helping humans understand animals, nature (trees, landscapes, water bodies) and foster deeper connections. A professional Animal and Nature communicator is also known as an Animal and Nature Whisperer.
I am participating in the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge 2026, and my theme is Nature’s Voice – Notes from Nature.
As a Telepathic Animal & Nature Communicator, and an avid nature lover, I receive plenty of messages and downloads from the animal and plant world, landscapes, water bodies, as well as aquatic life. I shall take you through a fascinating journey, where we shall connect and communicate with all things non-human, but as a humans. Together, we shall also appreciate nature’s offerings.

Dragonflies were our favorite in my childhood. There were so many of them where we lived. I don’t see them anymore.
This is so wonderful, Natasha.

What an idyllic childhood that must have been, dear Natasha! I can relate very closely to it as I grew up very close to Mother Nature…While in Kohima, we lived in a college campus, right next to the forest and had our fair share of interactions with birds, insects and creatures of every possible kind. Being close to Nature, I can see how that shapes you as an adult. I really enjoyed reading about the little incident with the dragonfly…it’s so amazing how every living creature has ways of communicating. Only we humans do not know. I’m really looking forward to the rest of your posts, so can’t wait for B to Z posts next. :))

Triple pawkisses back at ya. <3
I do believe animals and nature communicate with us, we just need the silence and heart to listen. Being born in the lap of nature seems like a lovely dream! I’m sure this has made you more sensitive to the creatures around you.

Wow! Natasha, that’s quite a story about the dragonfly accepting your apology. I loved it! While I don’t consider myself a telepathic animal communicator, I do communicate with my bird babies and with the fur babies I meet on the street. My Chikoo taught me that dogs can understand what you say; you just need to listen to understand what THEY say! I also read how dogs behave when they meet someone they know and how they express their feelings through their gestures and behaviour. And, honestly, I prefer this communication than the one I have with humans, some times. 😛 No offence meant to the humans, but I’d prefer animal company anytime!
I get you, Shilpa and how!
How have the birdies been? haven’t seen their videos in a while. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic, so close to my heart. Love.
