Reviving Our Art: #WordlessWednesday
“Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.” ― Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor and Park

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer. – Albert Camus
ten things i Am grateful for on monday How did your Monday morning start? Is it Moan-day or Monday for you? Did you wake up with a spring on your feet, or did you bemoan the beginning of another choc-a-block week? Did you enjoy your coffee looking out of the window, and kiss the children a happy good-bye, as they left for school? Or was it a morning of frayed nerves with the alarm not ringing, and your…
August is my birthday month and I look forward to it with much anticipation. In my head I believe that August must turn out perfect. But the August of 2018 proved to be a mixed bag of surprises. Some great, and some not so great. There were challenges galore, but the month was also dotted with exceptional blessings.
A Journey of memorable smiles April 11, 2016 Sorry folks, but this is not a high quality shot, but the memories around it are truly treasured and precious. It was taken on an iPhone, like most of my pictures are. I was using an older version of iPhone, with a not very high-grade camera. My older daughter captured this moment from our surreal boat ride, on the majestic Vembanad lake, Komarakom, Kerela. The Vembanad lake looks more like a…
Eight Things I’m Grateful for in Jaunty July July was pretty much uneventful, most parts of it; so I am assuming. But possibly I’m being partly judgemental. Judging my jaunty July without really considering the details-not a good idea! If I look deep into the recesses of the month, there was actually some interesting action and a chunk load of things to be grateful for. The month began on an unfettered note and continued to flow like an unbridled river.
c’est la vie; That’s life “C’est la vie”, she said, her chocolate-brown eyes twinkling back at me; her cascading curls bobbing down her strong shoulders. Every time she speaks, her eyes smile back with a spark of sunshine. You know, there are just a handful of people we ever meet whose eyes speak for themselves. And when they do they pour a confetti of joy your way. Ginny is one of. them. I was sipping into my full-bodied, Blue Tokia…
E is for Enchantment School re-opens tomorrow after a fifteen day long spring break. There is a certain sense of enchantment and glee in the nine-year-old’s eyes. She has labelled her books neatly, without any help from Momma. After all she is a grown up girl now, almost nearing ten. Her excitement and enchantment is more than palpable, and it spills into every corner of our home. She has begun to count hours now, before it’s time to go to…
The year is whizzing by like there is no tomorrow and we are already sitting pretty on the ninth month of the year. That was one quick journey I must say. But then it happens all the time, right? And yes, so far so good. Life is looking lustrous for me at this point of time. Like it has never been before. Fingers and toes crossed. Though I know a lot of people are dealing with a few personal battles….
Last week was special. It was my birthday week. And it came wrapped in a gorgeous gift box of happiness. Ever since I was a kid, I would be super excited about my upcoming birthday. As the date would draw closer the excitement would keep building up. I guess, I owe it to my parents and friends, who made my birthday a very special and unique occasion. Unlike most youngsters, I remember celebrating my birthday till I turned eighteen, or…
