The stunning bottle brush trees by our home
These trees have memories from my childhood. Kakkar Uncle-Aunty, our only doctors at the our small University campus had these beauties lined outside their sprawling bungalow.
A spray of prettiness galore.

“One day when you wake up, you will find that you have become a forest.

You have grown roots and found strength in them that no one thought you had.

You have become stronger and more beautiful, full of life giving qualities.

You have learned to take all the negativity around you and turn it into oxygen for easy breathing.

A host of wild creatures live inside you and you call them stories.

A variety of beautiful birds rest inside your mind and you call them memories.

You have become an incredible self sustaining thing of epic proportions.

And you should be so proud of yourself, of how far you have come from the seeds of who you used to be.”

Awe-inspiring words by Nikita Gill, You Have Become a Forest

Note to Tree Lady, Parul, the hostess of #ThursdayTreeLove:

Dear Parul,

All these months and years I’ve been taking tree pictures for my ardent love for trees. And while doing so I think of you, hoping to link up on #TTL. But I had to join when the universe deemed fit. So here I am with my humble offering.

I spent a glorious spring morning, feasting my eyes on these beauties and enjoying a cool spring shade.

It seems I did not notice these beauties from last year. They are near the regal Silk Cotton and Jacarandas in our condo, close to the amphitheater. I have always been besotted by those two.

But one part of me also likes to believe that the Bottle Brush trees flowered like never before, for the first time this year. Any which way, I’m chuffed, as they lent me a shade and a very memorable morning with my four-legged outdoor friends here.

Watching out for the Bottle Brush here.

Happy #TTL Parul and all those linking up.

I thought I’d make this post less wordy, but I have a reputation with not-so-#WordlessWednesday too that I need to keep. Ha! Ha!

May the trees speak to us in more ways than we know.

Love, light and laughter! ❤️

Natasha

  2. Thanks for sharing, Natasha. I love the Bottle brush and it would be the first tree that I too start recognizing as a kid. Some one mentioned of the tree and its blooms and since then, it stuck in my memory. So you post brought that alive 🙂
